Orange County's school system includes five elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Orange County also has two private schools located nearby; Grymes Memorial School and Woodberry Forrest. Germanna Community College makes it's home in Eastern Orange County on the Route 3 corridor. Two new county owned schools are under construction and the middle school & high school are undergoing renovations. The school system represents more than 70% of Orange County's annual budget. The school administration is headed by a superintendant, hired by the School Board. Principles are also hired by the School Board. Each county voting district has one representative to the School Board, which meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Gordon Building in Orange. The representatives are:
