If we haven’t met, I’m Tara Gesling, Holistic Health Coach and founder of Cultivating Health…”from the ground up” in Virginia. I developed this 7-Day simple detox to revolutionize the way you think about food, and reshape your body from the inside out!

I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach, a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, and a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I am also a Certified Permaculture Consultant, Master Gardener, Instructor and Motivational Speaker. I teach classes on the connection between food and health, lead workshops on food, nutrition, weight loss and organic gardening.

In a diet, you find yourself trying to count every calorie you eat, which understandably causes you to become frustrated and give up. At the end of the day, you find yourself hungry and lethargic.

This 7-Day Detox program isn’t about starving your body, fasting, juicing, eating strange food combinations, or taking lots of supplements.

A detox is also about removing toxins from your body. Toxins are stored in fat cells. The more toxins stored in your body, the more fat your body needs to hold on to. Once you remove the toxins, your body will be able to release excess weight.

After retiring about a year ago, I went on “vacation” mode. Although I got lots of exercise in my favorite sports, I was in a party mode and eating more snacks and social drinking. I gained weight. I decided I wanted to lose the weight and did make some changes on my own, but over time, my weight plateaued.

Through this program I was able to identify and remove foods I am sensitive to, look at problem eating patterns more objectively and accelerate my weight loss. In addition, my joint pain and bloating went away. I am less sluggish in the morning and in general look and feel better.

I really liked having a plan and the coaching to get past my resistance to change some of my unhealthy habits. This, along with being able to check-in made me feel committed. I loved that I received detailed well-organized handouts so I could review the materials as needed.
